Welcome to Raising Teens

Welcome to Raisingteens.co.uk

As a look around the site will show, our aims are to:

  • Help parents and carers of teenagers enjoy each other's company
  • Make it unnecessary for any parent or carer to feel lonely or isolated
  • Make sure every parent and carer has access to relevant and practical support and advice
  • Provide a message board service for parents and carers to exchange ideas, advice, experiences, and information
  • Provide a little light relief from the serious business of raising a teenager

At the heart of Raising Teens is our message board:- the Forum. We want this to become the must-see place for members, where you can chat with other parents and carers, and pick up hints, tips, and advice on anything and everything to do with raising a teenager, from the little things to the really big issues.

We are sure the Forum will become dynamic, friendly and welcoming - so register and then get writing! Your fellow RT friends really do want to know what you think - because as we all know, the one truth about bringing up the next generation is that there is no simple answer as to what works best!

And talking of registration, membership of RT is free and immediate. It goes without saying that members' details and email addresses will never be passed on to anyone else. Click here to join us today!

Because it is easy to forget what life was like pre-teen, we have included Lifestyle. Our aim is to provide a welcome place of refuge from the stresses that can be involved in raising teens.

And finally... a mum and her teenage son will write their own blogs about their very different perspectives on daily life, just to remind us all how big the generation gap can be at times. What they say will keep reminding us all that the most important thing is to try to keep communicating (no matter how hard that is). But it will also bring a smile to your face, provide some light relief, and maybe help solve a problem or two of your own.

All the best from Karen and everyone in the RT team.
